Description

Okay.............here we go.
After much beating-up-of-self, I've finally given in and decided to completely redo my old comic. The original was too old and too crappy to just keep going with it. So here's hopefully the beginning of version 2! Although I'll be honest I'm still not sure if this is how I'm going to do it/have it start. I'm posting it here now in hope of receiving feedback.

SO! Feedback?

In this version the story flow will be getting a fixing along with the art style. Frankly, I don't really know what I'm doing right now, storywise. The overall plot is what it always was, and I have a very loose idea of this particular scene (which may or may not be the first scene). Other than that I'm kinda just hoping it'll sort itself out with time. Very different from the first time, where I had every chapter outlined. >.>

I mostly just want input on the technique/style/whatnot. I realize adding color to a comic is taboo in some cases, not really worried about that. I think the inability to use color was one of the things holding me back before, since I'm such a color whore. So the color stays.
Anything else is fair game for critique.

I'm obviously using bjds as influence this time around. Because it's hip.

(note to self: doll ears are bigger than character ears ought to be. when using reference, adjust accordingly. >.< )

If this is received fairly well I'll hopefully have a couple more pages to post sometime.....in the future.....
*shoots self in foot*

PS. It's a pretty even mix of traditional and digital. For anyone who cares to know such things...

I actually really like the splash of color, especially because they are muted. The give the comic a good tone, I think. Though I don't know the story yet (since I did not see your old comic) I think the tone matches what's happening so far.

I vote to definitely keep the color. The page also flows well to the eye, which is important in a comic. There is nothing horribly distracting or out of place that pulls me out of it. Even on the first page, I'm very curious and easily being guided into the tale.

I've always personally loved the style you have created, and am always curious as to just how you do it, but I love that mystery. It's very unique, and I think very good. I do hope you can make more of the comic like this, I would love to read it.

The only reason I gave you 4 stars on vision and impact is just because it's the first page. ^^ I hope this leads to more.
